Inspired by Artwork

Oi, meninas! O tema do desafio de hoje é "inspirada por uma obra de arte". Fiquei um tempão pesquisando pinturas famosas na internet e pensando como as adaptaria para uma nail art. Foi assim que lembrei do Romero Britto. Ele é um artista pop brasileiro que faz muito sucesso internacionalmente. Suas obras são coloridas e alegres. Foi nesse clima de pop art que me inspirei para criar essa nail art.:

Hi, girls! Today's challenge theme is "inspired by artwork". I spent a lot of time searching famous painting on the internet and thinking about how I would translate then to nail art. That's when I remembered Romero Britto. He's a brazilian pop artitst who is known internationally. His pieces are colorful and fresh. In this pop art vibe, this is my atempt for this challenge:

Fiquei um tempo sem postar nada aqui no blog porque a faculdade estava uma loucura. O período acabou hoje e as semanas passadas foram lotadas de provas e trabalhos. Mas agora estou de férias por uns 20 dias e promet que vou postar mais coisas e até reformular o visual do blog!
I didn't post anything here for while because college was taking away all my time. My period just finished today and the past few weeks were full of exams and paperwork to do. But now I'm on vacation for about 20 days and I'll have time to make more posts and even change the blog's look.

Eu não vou colocar quais esmaltes usei no post de hoje, porque foram muitos e até misturei alguns deles para obter uma certa cor. Mas se quiserem saber o nome de alguma cor em específico, é só deixar um comentário aqui no post e eu responderei!

I won't write down which polishes I've used on today's post, because it were too many and I even mixed some of them together to get a certain color. But if you want to know the name of a color I used just leave a comment and I'll be glad to reply!

Inspired by A Book

A Culpa É Das Estrelas do autor norte-americano John Green é um dos livros mais lindos que já li.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green is one of the most beautiful books I've ever read.

Eu ri demais, chorei muito e mergulhei no universo de Hazel e Augustus (os personagens principais). O livro conta a sua história de amor e suas lutas contra o câncer  Tinha tudo para ser chato e apelativo, mas o autor surpreende ao trazer uma história inovadora e nada piegas. Atualmente é o meu livro preferido e recomendo a todos.

I laughed too much, cried a LOT and plunged into the world of Hazel and Augustus (the main characters). The book tells their love story and their own fights with cancer. It was supposed to be boring and appealing, but the author surprises us by bringing an innovative and nothing corny story. Today is my favorite book and recommend it to everyone.

Me inspirei na capa e no título do livro para criar essa nail art. Ela é bem simples, só fiz umas estrelas (com um pincel fino) no indicador e no dedo médio. Usei o Husky da Risqué como base e usei o Preto Sépia, também da Risqué, para as estrelas.

I was inspired by the cover and the title of the book to create this nail art. It is very simple, just did some stars (with a thin brush) on the index and middle fingers. Used Risqué Husky as my base color and Risqué Preto Sépia for the stars.

Shimmer Polish Karina

O esmalte de hoje é muito especial: foi a primeira compra de esmaltes internacional que fiz! Apresento-lhes o Karina da Shimmer Polish.

Today's polish is very special: it was the first international polish purchase I've ever made! With you, Shimmer Polish Karina.

O Karina tem uma base vermelho cherry com uma mix de glitters vermelhos, pretos e pratas holográficos. Fiquei maravilhada com a densidade de glitters, com a textura e a fluidez desse esmalte. Ele é jelly e consistente, mas a esmaltação foi muito fácil. Passei somente duas camadas do Karina e várias camadas do top coat da Extravasa!. O Karina fica um pouco áspero na unha e opaco (o que é comum à maioria dos glitters densos), por isso passei top coat, para uniformizar. O top coat da Extravasa! deixa um brilho maravilhoso, mas é fininho, então foram necessárias várias camadas (que não deixaram a unha "gordinha").

Karina is a cherry red tinted base with a mix of silver hoolographic glitters and red and black colored glitters.I was amazed by its glitter density, texture and  flawless formula. It's jelly and consistent, but painting my nails with it was easy easy. You see in the pictures two coats of Karina alone plus a lot of top coat. Karina gets a little bit textured and matted when it's dry (which it's very usual for dense glitter polishes), that's why I top coated, to smooth it over.

O grande motivo da minha primeira compra internacional ter sido da Shimmer foi o fato da Cindy ter em sua coleção um esmalte com o meu nome *-*, vou mostrar logo logo aqui no blog... estou pensando em uma boa combinação para ele. A espera foi sofrida (demorou exatamente um mês para chegar), fiquei muito ansiosa, checava a caixa de cartas todos os dias haha... mas eles chagaram lindos e intactos.

The main reason I did my first international purchase at Shimmer Polish was the fact that Cindy has a polish with my name on it in her collection *-*, I'll show it very soon to you... I'm thinking about a good match for it. The waiting was tough (it took exactly 1 month to arrive), I was very anxious, checked the mail box daily haha... but the polishes got here beautiful and intact.

As fotos não conseguem mostrar o quão lindo esse esmalte é. Ele fica maravilhoso em qualquer tipo de iluminação, simplesmente um dos mais bonitos da minha coleção.

The pictures can't show how beautiful this shade is. It gets amazing in every kind of lighting, just the one of the most beautiful of my stash.

Inspired by a Flag

Olá, kiridas queridas! Como estão? Então... hoje tem outra manicure do desafio. Essa foi a que eu criei para  o tema "inspirado por uma bandeira". Comecei com duas camadas do Boho Chic da Impala. Depois usei a minha fita dourada para nail art para recriar a bandeira da Inglaterra no anelar e um "V" nos outros dedos. Passei uma camada de esmalte preto e coloquei uma tachinha prata no centro da bandeira. Por fim, passei uma camada de top coat.
Hello, darlings! How are you doing? Well, today a have another mani from the challenge. This is my attempt for the "inspired by a flag" day. I started with two coats of Impala Boho Chic. Then I used my gold striping tape to create the UK flag shape on my index finger nail and the "V" shape on the other fingers nails. Painted it all over black polish and added a silver stud to the center of the flag. At last, I top coated it.
