Salto Agulha (Beauty Color)

Eu me lembro que uma das minhas maiores decepções esmaltísticas foi a vez que eu usei o Salto Agulha da Beauty Color há três anos. Lembro que eu procurei bastante esse esmalte depois que vi um post da Eve do Tudo Sobre Esmaltes e quando encontrei fiquei muito animada. Mas quando eu usei na primeira vez, fiquei um pouco decepcionada porque o esmalte não ficou nas unhas como era no vidrinho (lindo demais).

Desde então o Salto Agulha ficou na gaveta esperando sua segunda chance e recentemente ele entrou na fila de esmaltes a ser usado. Por coincidência ou seria o destino, ele ficou guardado perto do Reyna da La Femme e quando eu comparei os dois eu quase não acreditei. Os dois tem EXATAMENTE a mesma cor, mas com acabamentos diferentes. O Reyna tem a base azul escuro com shimmer verde e cobre com uma camada, enquanto o Salto Agulha tem a base jelly azul escuro e glass flecks esverdeados. Logo imaginei que usar o Reyna como base daria a profundidade que eu sempre quis no Salto Agulha e super funcionou! :)

O Reyna faz parte da coleção Max! da La Femme então só passei uma camadinha dele e cobriu super bem. Depois passei mais duas camadas do Salto Agulha e finalizei com uma camada do Seche Vite, o meu top coat preferido da vida.

O resultado me pegou de surpresa e eu me apaixonei por essa esmaltação <3 A cor nas minhas unhas ficou ao vidrinho! Fiquei olhando pras minhas unhas durante um tempão, em várias iluminações diferentes rs

Enfim, amei muito o resultado e realmente recomendo essa combinação para quem gosta do Salto Agulha!

Hey friends! Today I have a stunning combo to share with you! If I wear certain nail polish and don't like it, I'm all about giving it a second chance. It might take a while, but I always end up wearing it again to decide if it's a absolute no no or if I missjudge the first time. Well, the second case can be applied very well to this post.

Beauty Color Salto Agulha is something of a frisson here in Brazil when launched. I saw it on a blog and went  crazy about it. I searched through every locar cosmetic store until I found it. But sadly it was nothing like I expected. I share my thoughts back then here.

Three (!) years passed by and recently I decided to wear Salto Agulha again. Maybe it was destiny, but Salto Agulha was standing next to La Femme Reyna in my drawer. Right there. Both ready to be worn together. Oh boy. LOOK AT THIS. They have exactly the same dark blue base with a green reflex to it, but with different finishings. Reyna is a one coater dark blue with green shimmer, while Salto Agulha has a jelly base with green glass flecks.

Reyna created the depth I've always looked for in Salto Agulha. I'm so happy that finally this polish looked on the nails how it look on the bottle!

Born Pretty Store Review: Tachinhas Triangulares

Como dá pra perceber pelos posts do blog, eu amo nail art. Por falta de tempo ou inspiração, eu acabo recorrendo as mesmas técnicas na maioria das vezes. Então, sempre que tenho um tempinho sobrando, procuro testar diferentes estilos de nail art.

Comecei passando duas camadas do Too Yacht To Handle da China Glaze em todas as unhas, exceto a do anelar.

Resolvi testar a técnica chamada dry marble. Para criar a película que apliquei no anelar, fiz um processo muito semelhante a esse vídeo. Usei quatro esmaltes (o TYTH, o Evidências da Ellen Gold, o Noite Africana da Colorama e um esmalte branco), fiz a película sobre um meu silicone mat. Gente, esse "tapete" de silicone salvou minha vida! Sério, a melhor compra que eu fiz nos últimos tempos. Desde que o recebi, só faço as unhas com ele: evita de sujar a mesa, posso criar películas sobre ele. Eu comprei o meu AQUI e funciona igualzinho ao do vídeo, mas é verde sem nada escrito xD

No médio, fiz uma meia-lua e apliquei as tachinhas triangulares douradas que recebi da  Born Pretty Store. Procurava tachinhas nesse estilo há muito tempo e não resisti quando vi essas no site <3 Elas são muito delicadas, aderem bem ao formato da unha e não soltaram até eu remover o esmalte.

Finalizei tudo com uma camada de top coat.

If you roll through my blog posts, you'll see that I love nail studs! I think they look so good on the nails and really make a difference. Now let's talk about today's nail art. I started by painting all my nails with two coats of China Glaze Too Yacht To Handle except on my ring finger. On my middle finger, I created a half moon and added the pyramid gold studs. They are beautiful and lay very flat on the nails.

To created the design on my ring finger, I used the dry marble technique. The process I did is very similar to this video, I only mixed more the polishes.

Meu Corpo Quer Você (Preta Gil) + Chunky Holo Scarlet (Kleancolor)

Oi meninas! Eu estou bem sumida né?! Até que no Instagram eu apareço mais frequentemente, mas a vida está muito corridaaa. Estou envolvida num projeto maravilhoso e, se der certo, minha vida vai mudar muito e pode deixa que eu vou contar tudinho aqui no blog ♥

Vamos falar dos esmaltes de hoje. Primeiro, passei duas camadas do Meu Corpo Quer Você da Preta Gil, um tom uva lindo. Depois passei uma camada do Chunky Holo Scarlet da Kleancolor. Eu comprei um set com vários esmaltes dessa coleção e estou tentando usá-los mais frequentemente, quem quiser pode conferir a tag Chunky Holo.

Os Chunky Holos são glitters transparentes multichrome. No Scarlet, a mudança de cor não é tão evidente porque a base é mais opaca do que nos outros, mas ainda sim a mudança mais evidente é amarelo/laranja/verde. Acho esse esmalte muito elegante e que poderia ser usado pela maioria das mulheres.

I've been kind of M.I.A right?! I am posting on Instagram more often (afterall, it's less time consuming) but I'm soooo busy right now, college has all of me. I'm involved in a wonderful project and, if everything goes well, my life will change BIG TIME and, of course, I'll share all about it with you guys ♥

Now let's get into the nail polishez. I started by painting my nails with two coats of Preta Gil Meu Corpo Quer Você, a gorgeous plum shade. Then I added one coat of Kleancolor Chunky Holo Scarlet. I have a set of 9 polishes from this collection and you can see them in the label Chunky Holo. 

As you may know, Chunky Holos are jelly-based transparent multichrome glitters. They have an amazing colorshift. On Scarlet the colorshift is not so evident because I think the base is just a tiny bit more opaque than the others, but you can still see the glitters reflecting yellow/orange/green.

Passei duas camadas do Black da Colorama e uma camada do Luz das Estrelas da Blant. Finalizei com o extra brilho da Ideal.

Oi meninas! Hoje deixo vocês com essa combinação baphônica! Passei uma camada do Partiu Balada da Vult, uma camada do Viúva Negra da Risqué e uma camada do maravilhoso Purple Jumbo Glitter da Nabi, finalizei com uma camada do Seche Vite.

Hey guys! Today I have this gorgeous glitter combo to share with you! I painted my nails with one coat of Vult Partiu Balada, an almost-black shimmery blue, one coat of Risqué Viúva Negra, a jelly black filled with small red glitter, and one coat of Nabi Purple Jumbo Glitter, a multichrome and holo pink glitters wonder. Then top coated everything with Seche Vite.

Born Pretty Store Review: Stamping Polishes #7 - #12 Swatches

Oi meninas! Hoje vou mostrar pa vocês swatches de um set de 6 esmaltes pra carimbo da Born Pretty Store. Desde que eu comecei o blog, eu só fiz um post de swatch de coleção porque eu acho que todos os esmaltes merecem um post só pra eles hahaha. Mas acho que um post 'coletivo' é a melhor maneira de mostrar esses esmaltes ;)

Eu gostei muito do vidro e do rótulo, porém acho que a loja deveria incluir os componentes químicos no rótulos. Por exemplo, não sei se eles são hipoalergênicos ou não, não encontrei nenhuma informação no site também. As fórmulas são mais grossinhas mas ainda muito fáceis de se trabalhar. Todos estampam muitíssimo bem. O #10 e o #11 são os menos opacos, vejam como ficam menos vibrantes sobre o preto.

Today I have a swatch post for you! I think I only made one collection swatch post since I started blogging, that's because I think every polish deserves its own post (or not lol). But I received 6 stamping polishes from Born Pretty Store and I think the best way to show them is to swatch them over black and white.

Born Pretty Store sent to me 6 stamping polishes of their own line. They only have numbers as name and I got numbers #7 to #12. 

#7 is a beautiful electric blue. The image is from the BP-L022 plate.

#8 is a vibrant violet shade. The image is from the BP-L025 plate.

#9 is a light blue. The image is from the BP-L020 plate. 

#10 is a bright orange. The image is from the BP-L024 plate.

#11 is a old rose shade. The image is from the BP-L023 plate.

#12 is a bright green. The image is from the BP-L015 plate.

Overall, I really like the bottle and the label, but I think they should include the chemical components. For example, I can't tell if they're hypoallergenic or not. The formulas are more on the thick side but still really easy to work with. They all stamp very well. #10 and #11 are the less opaques from the set, see how they're not so bright over black.

Alice (Ellen Gold) + Chunky Holo Purple (Kleancolor)

Esse glitter multichrome maravilhoso é o Chunky Holo Purple da Kleancolor. No ano passado, um amigo muito querido voltou dos EUA e trouxe vários esmaltes baphos pra mim. Pedi pra ele trazer um set de 10 esmaltes da Kleancolor, 9 glitters da linha Chunky Holo + um top coat matte.

Um dos meus favoritos do set foi o Purple e foi o primeiro a ser usado. Passei uma camada dele sobre duas camadas do Alice da Ellen Gold, um azul bic. Finalizei com uma camada do Seche Vite.

Tirei muitaaaas fotos e foi difícil escolher poucas. Fiz até um videozinho que tá no final do post ^^

Hey guys! Today a have two beautiful polishes to share with you!

My base color is Ellen Gold Alice, a gorgeous jelly deep blue. I spent two coats and then painted one coat of the star of the post, Kleancolor Chunky Holo Purple. Spite of the name, this glitter is not holographic. It's a multichome small glitter in a jelly purple base. You can see in the bottle that its color shifts from red to orange to yellow to green and finally to blue, but the most visible color shift on the nails is from orange to green. I've noticed that the purple tone of the base didn't change the blue shade, I think that it only make a different with much lighter bases.

Purple came in a 10 polishes set, among 8 other Chunky Holo glitters and a matte top coat. A dear friend who used to live in USA ordered them at Amazon for me and brought them when he came back to Brazil. You can be sure that I'll post a bunch of these polishes very soon, I love them.

I top coated everything with Seche Vite :)
